Bull Shoals-White River State Park:
Famous for its world-class trout fishing, Bull Shoals–White River State Park lies along the shores of both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. The scope of the park can first be experienced from the 15,744-square-foot visitor center set high above the Bull Shoals Dam. Its state-of-the-art visitor exhibit hall and theater share the history of the area and tell the fishing stories from these waters.
Bull Shoals Library:
Although small, Bull Shoals Library offers a diverse collection of books, free magazines, and DVDs to the local community. Supporting a community of creative and life-long learners, Bull Shoals Library values literacy, learning, and curiosity.
Honoree: Angela Trillhaase
Angela Trillhaase’s Mom was a third-grade teacher for 35 years, and taught Angela a love of reading and the value of a good education. Because of this upbringing and her business career, Angela’s volunteerism is centered around education and business – her two main passions outside of her family. Angela is currently serving as a Commissioner for Economic Development at the Village of Mundelein, and she is also the founding sponsor, mentor, and coach for District 120’s Business INCubator Classroom Program at the Mundelein High School.
